Division 1 vs Southern
Was a real tough day in the office at least it wasn’t raining 😉.
We had boys playing in and out of positions missing a few key players but its ok emergencies happen, whanau things happen, mahi happens, injuries happen and other things happen, couple boys that played despite being injured they got on and we just had to roll with it because that’s what you do isn’t it?!
It would have been frustrating on the field for the boys but at the end of the day the boys fronted up, they got their game faces on, they did their absolute best, they kept their heads up, they kept going till the very bitter end! And that’s all we can ask of them despite the hammering they got they still did what was needed and they got on that field and played!
Unfortunately, the score was 99-0 to Southern but they are just numbers at the end of the day
As with every game plenty of mistakes get made but we just have to learn from them and move forward that’s what training is for that’s why we train that’s why we have coaching and management on the sidelines, not to tear us down but to make us aware of the errors to the game so when it comes to training we know what our work Ons need to be 😊 and as always with cons there are pros as well it’s not all bad because what comes with the bad the good does follow and our goodness does and will come!
Big mihi to our boys that benched for the Prems weather you got on or not it’s the fact you stepped up and did it even after 80 mins of your own game you did it, that’s what it’s all about helping each other out, having each other's backs win lose or draw keep having each other's backs, keep that unity tight yes we worry about injuries that could occur by going up or playing down to help each other out, that’s what we do we help out our other team so they too can front up on that field - Kotahitanga “togetherness”. It is a feeling of unity, working together & supporting each other.
Thank you to our coaching and management team for all you do for the boys the team as a whole we appreciate everything you do 😊
Big aroha going out to Chewy (Cameron Bryant) and his whanau, Chewy lost his mum Thursday night all the while his dad is in hospital as well and true to Div 1, they wore their hearts on their sleeves and arm bands for their team mate and his Mum lots of aroha surrounded the boys today as we had Chewy and whanau in our hearts and mind, we are all here for you if you need anything ❤️
Another new week ahead get to training do the mahi and let’s get those treats we bloody deserve!
