Premiers vs NPOB

The boys put together an awesome first half, playing some of our best rugby of the season. We built pressure by holding onto the ball, stayed composed, and showed real physicality on both sides of the ball — a clear improvement on last week’s focus areas. Our grit and hard work paid off with some well-earned tries. Unfortunately, the 10 minutes after halftime proved to be the turning point. Two costly errors led to conceding two tries, and unforced mistakes continued to hurt us in the second half. Despite that, the boys never gave up, and it was awesome to see some of our Div 1 players step up after big minutes in their earlier game, a real testament to their commitment to the club.

We’ll keep trucking and striving for that full 80-minute performance. Plenty to be proud of, and plenty to keep building on!

Division One vs NPOB

Another tough day in the office, but the spirits with in the team were high with the usual banters and laughter flying between them, a full squad of players and a bench full with a couple returning players, the goal for the game was the performance not the result the result will always be the bonus, the performance and the improvement that is seen and unfolds will always trump the result and all though NPOB got the upper hand on us and got a commanding lead it’s ok

The thing is every single one of you did your absolute best on the field and even if we didn’t get the W we got some points on the board and despite what happened out on that field we will take the positives from it and the negatives and keep working and building as a team and keep pushing forward with our heads held high! 

Thank you to Campbell & Tayne for your commitment in coming down from the premiers to give us that extra more.

Big mihi going out to Sam and Byron who went and benched for the premier team even after 80 mins of your own game you did it for our club! 

And finally, Jacob you received your Hundy Jersey on Saturday surrounded by your whanau, teammates, the club, and supporters proud to witness such an achievement and yes you are a #Battler right to the very end!
