Premiers
Tough day at the office for the boys on Saturday as we took on a strong Clifton side.
We started a bit slow and gave away a couple of soft tries early on, which put us on the back foot from the get-go.
That said, there were definitely some good patches throughout the game. When we held onto the ball and stuck to our systems, we looked solid and created some real opportunities.
We managed to cross the line for four tries, showing that when we get it right, we’re more than capable.
Clifton are a quality outfit and they showed their class, especially when we turned the ball over too easily. But credit to the boys, we never gave up and finished the game much stronger, which is a real positive to take into this week.
Plenty to learn from and a few things to tighten up as we gear up for our next game against Inglewood.

It was always going to be a tough one against Clifton, but the spirits within the team where high with the usual banters and laughter flying between them, a full squad of players we had all the positivity to look forward to this game and to celebrate Jacob’s 100th game!
Game time! Holly heck was definitely a different side that hit the field on Saturday they held out Clifton for 10 solid minutes before Clifton secured their first lot of points on the board, these boys held their own, defended, attacked, the comms where heard they stuck it to Clifton in the first half of the game only allowing them to get 14 points by half time rolled round
Refuel of lollies and oranges, pep talk from the coaches time to crack on
It got a little messy in the second half and Clifton got the upper hand on us, then injuries hit us harder too but heiaha the thing is every single one of you did your absolute best on the field and even if we didn’t get the W and despite what happened out on that field we will take the positives from it and the negatives and keep working and building as a team and keep pushing forward with our heads held high!
Thank you once again to Tayne for your commitment in coming down from the premiers to give us a extra player and big mihi going out to Sam and Tomasi who went and benched for the premier team even after 80 mins of your own game you did it for our club!
